Another Air-Cooled VW

The Squareback Wagon. We had one of these, as well, when I was a wee lad.
(I'm not sure what happened when I scanned it, but this picture is not quite the same color as what you see here.)

Another Vee-Dub

'67 Beetle. We had one of these when I was a kid. Ours was gray, but I sort of prefer the green.

Another Sad Robot

Every time I draw a robot, they always end up crying. And, I come up with these elaborate little stories in my head about why they are so sad.
But, I never tell anyone, because I don't want to embarass the robots.

Chirp, chirp

Hear the crickets? I do.
Not making much of an impression, I suppose...

Double Clutching

I love these old-style racecars. I always wanted one made street-legal.

Randomness

Some nights I just can't decide what to draw. This was one of those nights, so I just drew randomly while watching TV.

Finally, Back to The Routine

The cottage from John Wayne's movie, The Quiet Man.

Contractual Obligations III

After the finish of the 24 Hours of Moab. This is a representation of my self-esteem after the race.

x

Contractual Obligations II

He's not saluting the flag. He's trying to shield his eyes from the 60 mph, dust-laden, gusts of wind which are whipping the flag to shreds.

Drawn the morning of the start of the 24 Hours of Moab, and inspired by the ambient conditions.

x

Contractual Obligations

A picture of Rich's car key, drawn the night before the 24 Hours of Moab. (Hey, I had to draw something, but had little time and horrid conditions.)

Creature From the Black Lagoon

Back in the early 1980s, Lester Bangs was the Editor and chief picture-caption writer at CREEM Magazine (America's Only Rock and Roll Magazine). In one issue, he wrote my all-time favorite caption under a picture of Van Halen's singer:

"The Creature Walks Among Us...starring David Lee Roth as the Mongus."

Alas, Mr. Bangs left us these many moons ago. R.I.P. Lester.

Harvey

From a publicity still for the movie by that name. Too bad I screwed Jimmy Stewart's nose up, so badly.

Sort Of a Cheat

I'm coming down to the wire on the art show. So, I am using this picture, which is actually part of a small project for the show, as my Daily Drawing.

I guess if you make the rules, you can break the rules. Right?
