Picture 366

It's a bit of a self portrait, it is. Pencil, rather than ink, so it scanned a bit wonky. Still pretty representative of the original, though.
So, a year has passed. Three hundred sixty six pictures, drawn by my own hand. Wow, it seemed like I'd never be done, yet it seems I just got started, too.
All year long, the hardest part of this project was figuring out what to draw on any particular day. I tried to make it a bit of a challenge, and I think my technique improved a bit from start to finish.
Yes, there were a few days I tossed the drawing off (phoned it in, so to speak) for whatever reason. But, for the most part, I am proud of the work I produced.
I tried to keep it fresh, and not draw the same thing over and over (although the dogs seem to show up quite a bit). I hope it was entertaining for you. It certainly was for me.
2008 is in the bag. 2009's project can be found here.

Airwalk

My snowboard boots are still in the livingroom. They have been since I got back from Breckenridge on Boxing Day.

I Think I'm Addicted

I count down the 4 hours between doses like a junkie waiting for his pusher. I'll be glad when I'm over this cold.

Behind the counter at Kaladi Bros., this morning. (Yeah, I am that creepy old guy who draws your picture at the coffee shop.)

Airstream

They made some really cool trailers, back in the day. The new ones are nice, but there's just something about the 50 or 60 year old versions...

Should Have Left It Black and White

A drawing in honor of the poor squirrel I ran over with my bicycle, today. It looked pretty good in b&w, but I got overly ambitious with the markers.

Antiques Roadshow

I saw this metal bowl on A.R. The bug is cast from some metal and incorporated into the bowl.

Just thought it was kinda cool.

Sesh

I did something, while working on a bike today, that re-aggravated the torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. So, I am currently washing down half of a Vicodin with this bottle of fine lager.

Bettie Page - R.I.P.

She was the epitome of womanly charms for a couple of generations of American males. Sexy, but not lascivious.

Snow Cap

We drove over Lizard Head Pass, this week, on our way to Durango. A heavy snow had fallen the day before, and all of the fence posts had these little Palace Guard caps of snow on them.

I am on the road, doing lab inspections for work. I can't figure out how to post pictures, so I will post them all on Friday.
